Jah9

Singer/songwriter Janine Cunningham, who performs and releases music as Jah9, first discovered her vocal affinity as a child growing up in Falmouth, Jamaica. Building her vocal prowess performing with a Baptist church choir, Cunningham would develop a strong interest in jazz, dub music and roots reggae as she grew up. Cunningham eventually released her debut album, New Name, in 2013 and the well recieved LP helped establish her as one of the more interesting Jamaican musicians of her generation.
