Around the second Sunday in August, the little Lomo Magullo district of the town of Telde holds this fiesta, which has become very important. The activities last well into the night in the village square. At noon, a firework is set off, announcing the start of the festivities and a flood of people (as many as 15000) go down through the streets to the stream, where a water fight begins. Anything they can get hold of, ranging from a water pistol to a carafe, is used for the fight, accompanied by the music of the famous Agaete Town Band.
