The Head of the River Race involves 420 teams, 65 of whom are from outside the UK. The course runs from Mortlake to Putney; the best view is from Chiswick or Hammersmith Bridge as sometimes the whole width of the Thames is filled with boats, and you can hear all the coxes shouting at once.
