Rue des Teinturiers

Known as the Street of Waterwheels, the Rue des Teinturiers is a memory lane that lays out the rich history of the city. Following the narrow path of the Sorgue River, the street has still preserved the watermills which were instrumental in the textile industry's growth. Other monuments one will come across are a number of monastery chapels, sycamores, a bell tower of an erstwhile church from 13th Century etc. The Maison du IV de Chiffre is a remarkable and one of the last extant Gothic Houses of the city.
