Put together by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in 1969, The Plastic Ono Band was meant to be the couple's collaborative platform. Claimed to be one of the prime experimental music bands, it featured a rotational lineup that often included big-name solo artists like Eric Clapton and Alan White, as well as members of The Beatles- George Harrison and Ringo Star. The band went on to make its name with its dual debut albums John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band, with tracks such as "Remember" and "Why" receiving much acclaim from critics and fans alike. While the band split in 1974, it was later revived and reinvented as the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band, by Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon. The band's new incarnation made an instant impact amongst the fans, through several live concerts and the album- Between My Head and the Sky.
