Five musicians from three different bands came together in 2005 to form the alternative rock outfit Evans Blue. The Toronto-based band found immediate commercial success with its first album album The Melody and the Energetic Nature of Volume, which debut at number one on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart upon its release in 2005. After spending the next year on a US tour promoting its record, Evans Blue returned tto record its sophomore effort The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal of Life Ends. The band embarked on its first headlining tour following the release of the 2007 album, stopping in major cities across North America. Despite several lineup changes, including the replacement of founder and lead singer Kevin Matisyn with Dan Chandler, Evans Blue continues to perform and record new material, including its 2012 album, Graveyard of Empires.
