Ivan Julian

Ivan Julian is a guitarist and bassist from New York who is perhaps best known for being the founding member of the pioneering first wave punk rock band Richard Hell and the Voidroids in 1976. Julian's guitar playing and sound is compared by many to that of the late guitar legend Jimi Hendrix, however many of those closest to the guitarist feel that he has developed a distinct style all his own. After helping to create as well as support many up-and-coming punk rock bands throughout the 80s and 90s, Julian branched out on his own as a highly sought after producer and solo act, with the release of his first solo album The Naked Flame marking yet another milestone for one of punk rock's founding icons.
